C’était la « monda », qui durant des décennies attira des milliers de travailleuses dans la plaine du Po.\nLa dernier soir ces mondines se réunissaient pour la Curmaia, une grande fête… payée par le patron !\nLe trio Curmaia reprend ces chants qui scandaient luttes et saisons et emplissaient autrefois les campagnes : répertoire des mondines, discanti des faucheurs, complaintes des migrants, rituels sacrés et profanes.
